
Whizz the walnuts in a blender for 5 seconds. Mix soft butter and caster sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Line 10inch tin with pastry and then line the pastry with a thin layer of jam. Pour the walnut mix. Bake for approx. 50 mins for until the centre is not wobbly. Its quite homely looking but more importantly its extremely delicious!

Hummm, walnut bakewell tart sounds great, I love walnuts, sadly I ate rather a lot of lemon drizzle cake yesterday (homemade) so am banned from cake baking (and therefore eating) for a while :(
